Overview
A group of Taphrina fungal diseases causing puckering, blistering, and curling of leaves on various trees including oaks, maples, and stone fruits.
Symptoms
Raised, blister-like swellings on leaves. Leaves may curl, pucker, and become thickened. Blisters may be yellow, red, or brown. Premature leaf drop in severe cases. Generally cosmetic on oaks.

Prevention
Apply dormant copper spray before bud break for stone fruits. Generally no treatment needed for oaks and other hardwoods. Maintain tree vigor.
Management
Dormant copper or lime-sulfur spray for peach leaf curl (must be applied before bud swell). No effective treatment once symptoms appear. Remove fallen leaves. Maintain tree health.
