Aloe Vera(Aloe barbadensis)
A barbaloin-free (aloin-free) Aloe vera variety released in 2005 by CSIR-CIMAP (Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants), Lucknow, India, developed for high leaf and gel/sap yield in commercial cultivation.
Visual Characteristics
Vigorous, high-foliage-yielding Aloe vera rosette; reported foliage yields of roughly 400-500 quintals per hectare.
Growing Tips
Suited to rainfed cultivation in arid and semi-arid regions; grows on sandy coastal to loamy soils at pH 7-8.5 and tolerates temperatures of about 25-40 degrees C.
