A modern seed series prized for large semi-double, fluted blooms with a chiffon-like satiny texture in jewel and pastel tones, on compact plants with bronze-tinted foliage.
Visual Characteristics
Semi-double, ruffled/fluted flowers about 1.5-3 in (4-8 cm) across in shades of orange, rose, pink, apricot, red and cream, often with a cream center; bronze-tinted, finely divided foliage; compact, 8-16 in tall.
Growing Tips
Full sun and well-drained soil; sow in place. Full sun is needed for the flowers to open. Deadhead to prolong flowering. Series includes named selections such as 'Appleblossom Chiffon', 'Rose Chiffon' and 'Apricot Chiffon'.
