AU Robin

    Clover(Trifolium)

An early-maturing crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum) cultivar developed at Auburn University (registered 1992) that blooms roughly two weeks ahead of full-season standards, bred for improved reseeding as a cover crop and forage.

    Visual Characteristics

Erect winter annual with crimson-red flower heads; earlier-flowering than standard cultivars.

    Growing Tips

Its earlier bloom allows earlier seed set and reseeding, useful for self-reseeding stands and earlier cover-crop termination in the Southeast.
