Durana
Clover(Trifolium)
An intermediate-type white clover (Trifolium repens) developed and released by Dr. Joe Bouton at the University of Georgia in cooperation with AgResearch New Zealand, intended as a persistent renovation legume for grass pastures in the southeastern USA.
Visual Characteristics
Low-growing with smaller leaves than ladino types but very dense, profuse stolons ('runners') and abundant flowering.
Growing Tips
Exceptionally grazing-tolerant and persistent under continuous grazing thanks to dense stolons; reported to persist about three times longer than conventional ladino types. Ideal for renovating grass pastures in the Southeast.
