FreedomMR
Clover(Trifolium)
A medium red clover (Trifolium pratense) developed by the Kentucky Agricultural Experiment Station and released in 2006, adapted to Kentucky and the central US clover region. Especially recommended for hay production because its reduced pubescence makes it less dusty than Kenland.
Visual Characteristics
Medium red clover type with pink-red flower heads and upright forage growth; reduced (nonglandular) pubescence.
Growing Tips
Recommended for hay in Kentucky and the central clover region; its low dust makes it favorable for horse hay.
Resistance Information
Disease Resistance
More powdery mildew resistant than the older 'Freedom!' cultivar (selected from Freedom! for mildew resistance).
