    Bodacious

    Corn(Zea mays)

    78 days to maturity
    High yield

Bodacious is a widely grown yellow sugary-enhanced (se) hybrid sweet corn that became popular for combining excellent flavor with reliable garden performance. The sugary-enhanced genetics give sweeter kernels that hold their sweetness longer after harvest than standard types, while retaining the creamy texture and true corn flavor many gardeners prefer. Plants are vigorous and productive, growing about seven feet tall and producing large eight-inch ears filled with tender yellow kernels. Bodacious matures in the mid season, around 75 to 80 days, and shows good vigor in a range of soils. It is a favorite for home gardens, fresh markets, and freezing because of its balance of sweetness, tenderness, and dependable yields. It does not need isolation from most other se or su types.
