    Corn(Zea mays)

    80 days to maturity
    High yield

Honey Select is an award-winning yellow synergistic sweet corn hybrid that won an All-America Selections award in 2001. Synergistic types combine sugary-enhanced (se) and supersweet (sh2) kernels on the same ear, producing exceptional sweetness and tenderness while retaining creamy texture and good post-harvest holding. Plants are vigorous, growing about six to seven feet tall, and bear ears around eight to nine inches long filled with bright yellow kernels. Honey Select matures in the mid season, around 78 to 82 days. It is popular with home gardeners and market growers for its outstanding sweetness, tender skins, and reliable performance, and unlike pure supersweet types it germinates more dependably in cooler soils. Its balance of flavor and vigor has made it a modern garden standout.

Exceptionally sweet and tender with a creamy texture; synergistic genetics deliver top-tier sweetness that holds well after harvest.

    Visual Characteristics

Vigorous six- to seven-foot stalks bearing eight- to nine-inch ears of bright golden-yellow kernels.

    Growing Tips

A synergistic type that germinates better in cool soil than supersweets; still plant in warm soil and in blocks for full pollination.
