Little Zin

    Cranberry Hibiscus(Hibiscus acetosella)

A more recent cultivar (from Ball Horticultural, trialed at the University of Georgia) selected as a compact, well-branched form. A seedling arising from a self-pollination of its parent 'Mahogany Splendor', distinguished by its more crenate (scalloped) leaf margins.

    Visual Characteristics

Foliage resembling Japanese maple; dark red emerging leaves maturing to deep burgundy; leaves palmately divided with lobes and crenate (scalloped) margins, unlike the serrate margins of parent 'Mahogany Splendor'; compact, upright-mounded habit roughly 78 cm tall by 50 cm wide

    Growing Tips

Grow in full sun for best color; compact habit suits containers and smaller spaces.
