    Purple Coneflower(Echinacea purpurea)

    Visual Characteristics

    Plant ~30-36 in. tall on well-branched stems; large blooms to ~4.5 in. across that open green with rounded petals, then elongate and turn pale purple/magenta toward the center, with a cone that deepens to rich purple.

    Growing Tips

    Full sun and average, well-drained soil; blooms mid to late summer with sporadic bloom until frost. Long-lasting flowers are excellent for fresh or dried cutting and attract pollinators.
