Country Cream
oregano(Origanum vulgare)
A cream-variegated ornamental oregano forming a bushy, woody-based clump of small aromatic leaves edged in cream. Grown chiefly for its foliage color, with attractive pink flowers in summer. Included in the RHS oregano trial.

Small aromatic leaves carrying the typical oregano scent; also has a usable culinary flavor, though grown mainly as an ornamental.
Visual Characteristics
Bushy deciduous clump about 12 in (30 cm) tall and wide; small green leaves neatly edged with cream, and loose sprays of tiny pale-pink tubular flowers from midsummer to autumn. Hardiness RHS H4.
Growing Tips
Full sun or partial shade in any well-drained, preferably alkaline soil; good heat and drought tolerance once established.
