    Rhizoma peanut(Arachis glabrata)

    A low-growing 'ground cover' type rhizoma peanut germplasm (Reg. No. GP-128, PI 658528) released by the University of Florida in 2008 for dual ornamental and forage use. Collected near Bela Vista, Brazil, on the Brazil-Paraguay border on the same expedition as 'Ecoturf'.

    Visual Characteristics

    Lower-growing type that flowers profusely; green leaves (RHS 137B) with an orange standard petal (RHS 24A) and yellow-orange wing petal (RHS 14B).

    Growing Tips

    Generally slower to establish than forage-type cultivars and has limited forage potential, so it has not been widely planted; released mainly to document its ornamental/forage characteristics.
