UF Peace

    Rhizoma peanut(Arachis glabrata)

A rhizoma peanut cultivar (Reg. No. CV-108, PI 658214) released by the University of Florida in 2008, selected for high dry-matter yields and persistence. It is more productive than 'Florigraze' and is a good option for hay production, with better adaptability to the upper Coastal Plains.

    Visual Characteristics

A dense, spreading rhizomatous forage legume with yellow-orange flowers; forms a somewhat shorter, denser sward than the tall UF Tito.

    Growing Tips

Better adapted to the upper Coastal Plains than older cultivars; established vegetatively from rhizomes and well-suited to hay production.

    Resistance Information

    Disease Resistance

Shows improved field tolerance to peanut stunt virus compared with 'Florigraze'.
