    Visual Characteristics

    Deep red to dark purple, anthocyanin-rich leaves; upright habit reaching roughly 0.6 m (about 2 feet) tall by 0.3 m wide.

    Growing Tips

    Grow in full sun in moist, well-drained soil; it is frost-tender and needs warm temperatures (above roughly 18C) for good growth. A closely related laciniate (cut-leaf) form is sold as 'Atropurpurea Laciniata'.
