    An improved commercial variety of cape gooseberry released in 2016 by Colombia's national agricultural research corporation AGROSAVIA (formerly Corpoica), among the first cultivars entered into Colombia's National Cultivar Registry. Like Corpoica Dorada it was developed using in vitro anther (pollen) culture. Bred for the high-altitude Andean production zones.

    Good-tasting fruit with Brix around 14.5, characteristic pineapple-tomato notes of the species

    Compact plant habit; uniform-colored fruit typical of the commercial Colombia type held within the papery calyx (capacho)

    Growing Tips

    Registered for Boyaca, Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Narino departments of Colombia; days to first ripe fruit vary by region (about 195 days in Boyaca/Cundinamarca, 157 in Antioquia, 167 in Narino), yielding roughly 18-22 tons per hectare with around 70% meeting export standards

    Not bred for Fusarium oxysporum resistance; like most cape gooseberry material it remains susceptible to vascular wilt
