    Early seasonCold tolerantHigh yield

Honeoye is an early-season June-bearing strawberry released by Cornell University in 1979 and named for a town in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is one of the most productive and dependable early varieties for northern gardens, bearing heavy crops of large, firm, bright red berries. The vigorous, hardy plants tolerate cold winters well and produce a concentrated flush of fruit in late spring. Honeoye's berries are tart to well-balanced and hold their shape beautifully, making them excellent for freezing and preserves as well as fresh eating. Its outstanding cold hardiness, heavy yield and early ripening have made Honeoye a mainstay of home and market plantings across the northern United States and Canada.
