Italian White is a delicate, branching sunflower distinguished by its unusually pale, creamy-white to soft-yellow petals surrounding a dark chocolate center. Growing five to seven feet tall with a graceful branching habit, it bears many smaller three- to four-inch blooms rather than one giant head, giving it an airy, wildflower-like quality prized in naturalistic and cottage gardens. This heirloom variety is an excellent cut flower and a strong pollinator attractant, drawing bees and butterflies throughout its long bloom season. Its subtle, understated coloring sets it apart from bolder golden sunflowers and makes it a designer favorite for softening permaculture borders and blending into mixed pollinator plantings.
