T6
Sunn hemp(Crotalaria juncea)
An Indian cultivar released around 1974, valued as a day-neutral (photoperiod-insensitive) type used for both green manure and fibre production. Its day-neutral habit allows more flexible timing of flowering and cultivation.
Visual Characteristics
Erect annual with yellow flowers; begins flowering at about 30 days after sowing.
Growing Tips
Because it is day-neutral and flowers early, it can be grown across a wider range of sowing dates and latitudes than short-day cultivars; suited to green manure and fibre use.
