    Visual Characteristics

Tall (about 1.8-2.1 m) semi-spreading clump with profuse tillering; notably broad (12-14 mm) yet soft, less-lignified leaves; profuse secondary and tertiary roots for soil binding; late flowering (around October in India)

    Growing Tips

Seed-sterile and non-invasive, ideal as erosion-control hedgerows on degraded slopes while also serving as cattle forage; leaves carry elevated protein (about 41 g/kg fresh weight); best planted as a living hedge along contours.
