Kasetsart 50
Cassava(Manihot esculenta)
A dominant industrial cassava cultivar in Thailand (widely known as KU 50), developed jointly by Kasetsart University, the Thai Department of Agriculture, and CIAT, and released in 1993. It became the backbone of the Thai starch and tapioca industry and is also grown widely in Vietnam.

Vigorous plants with good germination and wide adaptation; produces high root yields with high starch content.
Growing Tips
A cross of Rayong 1 x Rayong 90, released in 1993. Delivers high fresh root yield and high root starch content (roughly 22%), with strong yield stability across environments.
