Sweet coconut water when harvested at the right stage, becoming saltier/tangier as the nut matures; good drinking and eating quality.
Visual Characteristics
Narrow, straight trunk with minimal base swelling; semi-dwarf reaching roughly 30-60 ft over time. Petioles green, golden, or yellow by sub-cultivar; immature fruits green, yellow, or red, maturing to smooth green drinking nuts or brown wrinkled copra nuts.
Growing Tips
Begins bearing young (about 3-5 years). The most commonly available cultivar; color selections are largely aesthetic. Avoid relying on it where Lethal Yellowing is confirmed locally.
