Visual Characteristics
Plump, bold rhizomes with deep reddish-yellow flesh; produces a bright, richly pigmented dried powder. Curcumin ~6.52%.
Growing Tips
Long-duration variety (about 225 days) suited to the main Indian turmeric-growing tracts; give it a full growing season and rich, well-drained soil to achieve its high fresh-rhizome yield (~39 t/ha).
