Plants for Subtropical Climates

Located to the north and south of the tropics, subtropical climate zones are characterized by hot summers and mild winters. There are two main types of subtropical climates: Mediterranean climates and humid subtropical climates. While Mediterranean climates have rainfall mainly in the cooler months, humid subtropical climates typically have rainfall concentrated in the warmest months.
